Groz-Beckert Awarded KYOCERA Environment Prize at Economics Day in Bonn
By means of optimised needle geometries, litespeed® needles for high-speed circular knitting machines guarantee lower energy consumption and lower CO2 emissions. Therefore, on April 29, 2010 Groz-Beckert was awarded a third place at the KYOCERA Environment Prize.

Techtextil North America 2010, ATME I-/MEGATEX, SPESA – 18. 05. - 20. 05. 2010, Atlanta, USA
The combined trade fairs Techtextil North America 2010, ATME I-/MEGATEX, SPESA were held in Atlanta for the first time from May 18 to 20, 2010. Groz-Beckert was there too – with a 74-square-metre corporate stand in the "Techtextil" hall.

Award for successful junior employee
Groz-Beckert has a long tradition and an excellent reputation as an innovative training company. Completing a technical or commercial training course here means discovering a diverse and fascinating high-tech milieu, and becoming part of an internationally oriented working world. How this environment can be put to optimal use is shown by Dominic Majer. The Baden-Württemberg Chambers of Industry and Commerce Association (BWIHK) presented him with an award in 2009 for his achievement as the state's best production mechanic in the textiles sector.

As an internationally
active company, Groz-Beckert has placed great importance for more than 50 years
on sending its personnel out internationally. Over sixty 'emissaries' are
currently distributed around the globe. These so-called "expatriates"
are of all ages, and work on all professional levels.
They are looked after by their relevant area of specialisation as well as by
special foreign personnel departments.

Highlights of the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2010
From June 22 to 26, international experts will be in Shanghai, China, where the ITMA ASIA + CITME is being held there for the second time. The trade fair is the international meeting point for textile suppliers and associated companies.
The Groz-Beckert knitting machine parts division is looking forward to the trade fair with great confidence. Alongside innovative needle developments, the Groz-Beckert knitting head and the Groz-Beckert cylinder will be the focus of interest.

Concentration of weaving machine parts division
As of January 1, 2010 all the activities of GROB Textile AG, Lachen (Switzerland) were transferred to the Groz-Beckert Group headquarters in Albstadt, South Germany. The important reasons behind this far-reaching decision relate to a further reinforcement of the quality brand GROB as a genuine full-assortment provider and competent systems supplier in everything to do with weaving.
